100 Days of Painting … Day 5 to Day 10

Day 5 to Day 10 has been all about doing at least a little bit each day to keep the streak moving forward.  Initially this wasn’t easy, found myself as usual, tired at the end of the day, or just sneaking in something to make sure I kept the overall effort going.  The focus has been on 40mm AWI, and primarily on 12 British being painted as New Jersey Volunteer Loyalists.

Making progress, and taking things one stage at a time.  I’ll thin some paint, finish it up, and then do the same the next day, and this has seen me slowly expanding the number of figures being worked on from 3 up to the 12.  As is often the case with uniformed figures, my mind strays to wanting to start on the possible variety provided by doing something like the dozen Colonial Militia that I had started with their faces and hands on Day 1.  But today, I’m continuing with the British, and likely into the immediate future as well.

Also, I’m looking forward to getting back to some 28mm Greek Hoplites that I had been doing previously to represent some mercenaries for my Late Achaemenid Persian army for the Impetus rules system.  And there are the 15mm “By Fire and Sword” Cossacks that I’ve cleaned and affixed to 18″ slats of wood for priming first.  And there are some 25/28mm ACW, 30YW, WotRs, and at some point a return to my GW Empire figures, too.  My enthusiasm is growing as 11 days are complete, only 89 more to go!
